Celtic Salt Tour

In the village of Dürnberg, south of Salzburg, salt was already being mined over 2500 years ago. This "white gold" was the reason for the area´s rise to political and economic power.

The Celtic Salt tour begins with participants building a raft and sailing down the River Lammer. En route we can pan for gold and then picnic, if desired, at our destination. Other possibilities include building a rope bridge, a visit to a Celtic village or a hilarious Celtic Olympics!

A Celtic banquet, with Irish music and dancing provides an appropriate end to this eventful day and brings the past vividly alive. Further details may be found in our Evening Programme "Celtic Evening" and "Dîner Sole".
